very little flotsam on the stream - picked up coke bottle doing water bottle duty - at least from our perspective of #57 start and 3.75hr cruise (12.30P finish); i hope that means everyone went home with what they brought!
we didn't see much one canoe wrapped and another one looked like it was just sitting on a rock....low water made it easy for people to pick up there stuff....we were the sweep boat (the last boat)
Lost a large blue life jacket at the take out. Believe it might be a field and stream one
Our team found a pair of red and white gloves a few miles downstream of six mile falls.
Anyone want to claim them?
Found one yellow/black glove in the stream. Call 827-6781 to claim.
Hey Sweep Boat! Thank you for your help with the event - and thanks to all the other folks making this happen!!
left my seat pad from highschool on the shore when me and a buddy shifted opposite ways about a half mile after the start says morse shipbuilders and was with a black sweatshirt ... least we didnt fall in again!
Thanks for another great year. Thanks for every one that help put the race together
We saw the black sweatshirt and was it a blue seat pad? It is right across from the road leaving town up on the bank? Would be real easy to get if it wasn't on the opposite side of the river!
We lost the following items at 6 mile falls.
Red & White Columbia jacket
white vest
blue water shoes
folding canoe seat
call 299-8766
Found some oatmeal cookies with cream filling floating down the river a few miles from the start. They were wrapped in plastic, so we ate them. Just doing our part for the environment.
Thanks.
